Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is hiring a Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day technical operations, manage staff, and interface with clients to ensure projects are safe, on time, and within budget. The role demands leadership, clear communication, and problem-solving skills.

The position involves supervising field and laboratory activities, maintaining data integrity, and contributing to department growth while adhering to QA and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction materials testing, environmental consulting, geotechnical fieldwork, or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule field and/or laboratory staff to ensure coverage and timely project execution.
• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for field/lab procedures, reports, and data integrity per standards (ASTM, AASHTO, CCRL).
• Problem solve with minimal specifications or direction.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance per federal, state, local and company policies.
• Monitor and improve project efficiency, communicate with clients and staff.
• Coach and mentor staff and manage department financials.
