Job summary

American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET) seeks a Field Supervisor to oversee day-to-day field operations on projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence. You will interpret project plans, mentor technicians, and coordinate between client and field staff.

Responsibilities include directing schedules, providing field QC, reviewing reports, supporting QA/QC, and helping manage field onboarding and certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in construction materials testing or related engineering services.
• 0-2 years of direct supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assign and coordinate daily project schedules for field staff based on workload and scope.
• Provide technical guidance and quality control on field procedures (soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, materials testing).
• Perform or assist with complex field investigations, sampling procedures, and test observations.
• Review and approve field documentation including daily reports and timesheets.
• Support the use of AET systems (e.g., QEST, Dynamics) for tracking and reporting.
• Lead field team meetings and ensure safety, project updates, and process improvements.
• Ensure client specifications and industry standards (ASTM, AASHTO, MnDOT) are met.
