Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Senior Engineer to manage and execute complex construction materials testing projects in a lead role. You will direct technical decision-making, mentor staff, and drive project profitability while expanding client relationships.

The Senior Engineer will oversee multiple projects, collaborate with clients and contractors, and help grow the Building and Construction service line within a 100% employee-owned firm that emphasizes teamwork, quality, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in civil/construction engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years in construction materials testing or similar role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• Knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO standards and advanced testing methods.
• Experience with project management software and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex materials testing projects from pursuit to final reporting.
• Manage resources, budgets, schedules, and profitability.
• Provide SME guidance to clients and internal teams on testing protocols.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.
• Review reports for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Develop and refine QA practices and drive process improvements.
