Job summary

HDR seeks a Senior Environmental Project Manager to lead environmental studies, permitting, and NEPA documentation within our Environmental and Regulatory Team. You will guide cross‑functional teams, develop client relationships, and drive opportunities in power and transportation markets.

You will oversee budgeting, QA/QC, and regulatory coordination, with travel for client meetings. A strong background in environmental permitting and leadership is essential to deliver high‑quality NEPA

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Sciences, Planning, Cultural Resources, or related field.
10+ years of ecological or cultural resource surveys, NEPA planning and permitting experience.
Strong writing, analysis, and ability to lead environmental projects.
Ability to market environmental services and travel for client meetings.
Experience managing large NEPA documents for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as Senior Project Manager for environmental studies, permitting, and NEPA documentation.
Lead teams through environmental processes for assessment, reporting, and permitting.
Develop client relationships and identify new opportunities in power and transportation markets.
Oversee proposals, budgeting, invoicing, and tracking project financial performance.
Coordinate field surveys, QA/QC, and prepare permit applications; mentor junior staff.
Collaborate with regulatory agencies and internal teams; travel as needed.
