Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager – FERC Pipeline Lead to oversee environmental permitting and NEPA documentation for natural gas projects. The role requires deep experience with FERC filings and managing complex studies across multiple locations in the U.S.

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and drive client relationships while ensuring QA/QC and timely delivery of environmental reports and permits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Planning, Cultural Resources, or related field.
• 10+ years of ecological or cultural resource surveys, NEPA planning, environmental analysis, and state/federal permitting.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Senior Project Manager for environmental permitting and NEPA documentation.
• Lead and direct teams through FERC environmental processes for assessment, reporting, and permitting.
• Develop client relationships and identify new opportunities in the FERC pipeline program.
• Oversee proposals, cost estimates, budgeting, invoicing, and tracking project financial performance.
• Coordinate schedules, provide QA/QC, and lead problem resolution for environmental studies.
