Job summary

GHD in Farmington Hills, Michigan, seeks a Senior Environmental Engineer/Geologist/Environmental Scientist to lead complex contaminated site investigations and remediation efforts. You will guide project teams within the Contaminated Assessment Remediation (CAR) Group, manage client relations, and drive regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Advanced degree in Applied Science (Engineering, Geology, or Science)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contaminated site investigation and remediation
• Professional Designation/License (Engineer, Geologist, etc.) preferred
• OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
• Proven project and client management skills
• Excellent English writing and verbal communication is required to effectively express technical information
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Complex problem solving as it relates to environmental investigations and remediation providing high-quality results and solutions to our clients’ projects and challenges
• Maintain a high external profile through membership/attendance in industry organizations and continually growing a contact base
• Maintain high internal profile through CAR project pursuits, wins, and delivery
• Lead proposal development and contract negotiation to win targeted pursuits, which leverage GHD's capabilities and value proposition
• Technical project management and direction while maintaining client satisfaction and ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget
