Job summary

GHD is seeking a Senior Engineer/Geologist to serve as Project Manager within the Contaminated Assessment Remediation group in the United States. The role requires leading environmental projects, coordinating regulatory work, and delivering high‑quality technical reports and client engagements.

Ideal candidates have 5–10+ years of contaminated site experience, professional licensure as a Geologist or Engineer, and familiarity with remedial technologies and lifecycle cost analysis.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of experience including contaminated site investigations, remediation, data interpretation, and technical reporting.
• Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer license a plus.
• Class I railroad experience preferred.
• E‑Railsafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental projects, ensuring client communication, scope, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Review and coordinate input from multidisciplinary teams to ensure high quality and consistency across deliverables.
• Drive projects to regulatory closure in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Lead teams that conduct environmental site assessments, remedial investigations, and compliance evaluations.
• Identify risks early and provide decision‑ready options.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to the environment and people.
