Job summary
Sargent & Lundy in Chicago seeks an experienced Environmental and Permitting leader to review, evaluate, and implement federal, state, and local environmental requirements for major power and industrial projects.
You will lead business development, expand client relationships, mentor junior staff, and guide multi-disciplinary teams across permitting, environmental planning, and reviews to grow the firm's environmental services footprint in the power sector.
Qualifications
- BS in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; MS preferred.
- 20+ years of experience in environmental compliance, impact assessment, and/or permitting for complex projects.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary power industry projects and coordinating with clients and agencies.
- Proven ability to support business development and expand environmental services footprint.
Responsibilities
- Lead business development initiatives by identifying client needs and pursuing opportunities.
- Manage complex power-industry environmental projects across permitting, planning, and scheduling.
- Serve as liaison for environmental topics with clients, agencies, landowners and stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop junior environmental staff and promote knowledge sharing.
