Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a full-time Senior Environmental Specialist to facilitate compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations for diverse clients across Lifeline Sectors. The role offers flexibility to work from the Sacramento, CA office and region, with remote options in the Sacramento area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science, environmental planning, environmental policy, biology, wildlife management, range management, natural resources management, or related field.
• 15+ years of related experience (advanced degree may count toward experience).
• Thorough understanding of and experience with relevant Federal, State, and Local regulations (e.g., NEPA/CEQA; ESA; CWA; CAA; NHPA; CERCLA; RCRA).

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, organize, and direct multi-disciplinary teams for preparing reports and environmental permit applications.
• Provide oversight, review, and interpretation of data for investigations, mitigation, or monitoring projects.
• Lead and organize team for project field efforts (wildlife, botanical, water, etc.).
• Communicate scientific and technical information to the project team.
• Prepare and review environmental reports and related materials.
• Assist clients with permit coordination, acquisition, and compliance.
