Job summary

Ulteig seeks a Senior Environmental Specialist to ensure environmental compliance for public and private clients across Lifeline Sectors. Flexible for Sacramento office or remote work from Southern California (San Diego region).

The role requires NEPA/CEQA experience, wetland delineation, and regulatory interaction, with leadership of multidisciplinary teams and strong client relations. Responsibilities include preparing reports, coordinating permits, and mentoring staff while expanding Ulteig's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science or related field.
• 15+ years of related experience (advanced degree may count toward experience).
• Strong understanding of NEPA/CEQA and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to prepare NEPA/CEQA documents and permit applications.
• Oversee data interpretation for investigations, mitigation, or monitoring.
• Coordinate field efforts for wildlife, botanical, and water studies.
• Communicate scientific information to project teams and clients.
• Prepare environmental reports, proposals, scopes, and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development.
