Job summary

Ulteig seeks a Senior Environmental Specialist to ensure compliance with NEPA/CEQA and other regulations for diverse clients across Lifeline Sectors. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, review data, and mentor staff while expanding Ulteig's client base and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in environmental science, environmental planning, environmental policy, biology, wildlife management, natural resources management, or related field.
• 15+ years of related experience (advanced degree may count toward experience).
• Strong understanding of and experience with NEPA/CEQA and related federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ESA, CWA, CAA, NHPA, CERCLA, RCRA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, time-management, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally with overnight stays.
• Authorized to work permanently in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to prepare NEPA/CEQA documents and environmental permit applications.
• Provide oversight and interpretation of data for investigations and monitoring projects.
• Organize field efforts (wildlife, botanical, water, etc.).
• Communicate scientific information to project teams.
• Prepare and review environmental reports and related materials.
• Assist clients with permit coordination, acquisition, and compliance.
• Develop relationships with clients through quality service and networking.
• Mentor junior staff.
