Job summary

ICF is seeking an Environmental Laboratory Project Manager to support the EPA ESAT contract in Corvallis, Oregon. The role oversees a team of chemists and technicians performing soil, water, air, and waste analyses for regulatory programs.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and client interactions, ensure QA/Safety, and maintain compliance with EPA methods. US citizenship and ability to pass EPA background check are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or physical science; 20 years' federal contract PM experience allowed.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in EPA analytical programs and EPA analytical methods.
• 5+ years managing an environmental analysis group or 10+ direct reports.
• Proficiency with data acquisition, instrument reporting, and LIMS.
• Experience in laboratory management including client communication, budgeting, and forecasting.
• US citizenship is required per federal contract requirements.
• EPA background check ability to access federal property.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of 15 chemists and technicians providing laboratory support (sample analysis, quality assurance, and related support) data validation following NFG, ambient air sampling, other field sampling and analysis, and other tasks.
• Provide input and technical oversight of the work performed
• Schedule, track, and report assignments and work products
• Collaborate to develop budgets and ensure financial performance of the team
• Supervise of technical staff, including personnel selection and evaluation
• Manage daily interactions with subcontractor personnel on the team
• Client contact and technical presentation
• Ensure compliance with all technical, quality assurance, and safety requirements
