ICF is seeking an Environmental Chemist to support the USEPA Region 9 ESAT contract in Corvallis, Oregon. The role focuses on inorganic sample analysis, ICP‑OES and ICP‑MS, with potential cross‑training on organics, adhering to EPA methods and NELAC standards.

The candidate will prepare samples, perform analyses, and collaborate within a team to support Drinking Water, CWA, CAA, and CERCLA programs. U.S. citizenship and EPA background check clearance are required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or related.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Capable of lifting 40 lbs and working at heights per safety standards.
• U.S. citizenship required for federal contract and EPA background check ability.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and analyze samples using inorganic chemistry methods; possible cross-training on organic analyses.
• Operate ICP‑OES, ICP‑MS, and supporting instrumentation to determine metals and inorganic contaminants.
• Follow EPA methods and NELAC standards; ensure QA and sample integrity.
• Work independently and as part of a team on various environmental matrices.
