Job summary

WSP in Greensboro, NC seeks a Senior Technical Manager, Environmental Engineer to lead multi-site environmental projects, oversee Phase I/II assessments, permit applications, and environmental compliance efforts.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of experience, strong leadership, and proven ability to mentor staff while coordinating with clients, regulators, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Public Health Engineering (or closely related).
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight with data collection for environmental samples (air, soil, water, sludge, etc.).
• Perform professional environmental engineering work and investigations of emissions, waste facilities, water resources, and site conditions.
• Lead environmental site assessments (Phase I and II).
• Assist with permit applications, design plans, and contracts to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Meet with public/private entities to discuss environmental issues and programs.
• Ensure technical reports clearly present findings and recommendations.
