Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Manager, Environmental Engineer in Greensboro, NC, to provide subject matter leadership for multi-site environmental work, due diligence, remediation, and permitting projects.

You will ensure high-quality, compliant deliverables and guide PMs with long-term risk assessment. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a relevant field, 10+ years of experience, and an engineer license (multi-state preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Industrial, Agricultural, or Public Health Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in environmental engineering.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, compliance, and record-keeping.
• Experience with Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments under ASTM guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental site assessments (Phase I and II).
• Oversee data collection and reporting for air, soil, water, sludge and other matrices.
• Review permit applications, design plans, contracts, and standby plans for compliance.
• Develop action plans for pollution control and environmental programs.
• Mentor staff and lead mid- to senior-level project teams.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Maintain safety and QA/QC across projects.
• Collaborate with professionals across disciplines for future-ready solutions.
• Provide guidance to PMs and managers on environmental challenges.
