Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer to join our Water team, delivering water and wastewater treatment facilities of moderate to high complexity across the Southeast United States.

You will lead design teams, review drafts for regulatory compliance, and contribute to technical knowledge through papers and design documentation while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with clients and sales teams on proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Travel may be required; frequency depends on duties and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of water and wastewater facilities of moderate to high complexity.
• Review designs for regulatory compliance and sign off.
• Develop technical design documentation and papers for publication.
• Collaborate on proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Engage with clients and officials to clarify technical questions and provide updates to management.
• Mentor junior staff and develop them for growth.
