Job summary

EnSafe seeks a Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our Florida team, with potential base in Tampa, Jacksonville, or Titusville. This full-time role focuses on managing projects, developing comprehensive compliance programs, and ensuring regulatory adherence across multiple sectors.

The role emphasizes client management, proposal development, and mentoring junior staff while coordinating efforts across local and national teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or environmental science or related field.
• 8+ years of environmental compliance experience with consulting background.
• PE licensure, CHMM or similar certifications preferred.
• Seasoned technical writer capable of producing permits and reports.
• Strong consulting, relationship-building and critical thinking skills.
• Project management experience, including scopes, proposals and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement multimedia compliance programs across waste, water, air, and related frameworks.
• Prepare and submit SPCC, SWPPP, EPCRA, permits and annual compliance reports.
• Conduct audits to identify nonconformities and provide corrective actions.
• Provide project management: proposals, execution, coordination and billing.
• Lead Southeast service line and mentor junior staff in technical consulting.
• Travel overnight to client sites in Florida and nationally as needed.
