Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety Consultant to lead process safety efforts across multiple Florida offices, including Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Orlando, Clearwater, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach.

This role emphasizes business development, technical leadership, and expanding Geosyntec's EHS services for industrial and governmental clients. You will develop strategies, conduct risk-based assessments, and mentor teams while delivering compliant,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemical, environmental, or civil engineering is required.
Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in chemical or environmental engineering is preferred.
10+ years (15+ preferred) of experience in a consulting/manufacturing/industrial setting with process safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead and deliver process safety projects for clients across industries (oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing).
Develop and implement PSM programs aligned with OSHA 1910.119 and EPA Risk Management Plan requirements.
Conduct hazard analyses (PHA/HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) and lead audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Support contractor safety, MoC, emergency planning, and regulatory interpretation for clients.
Mentor internal Geosyntec teams and contribute to business development and client engagement.
