Xcel Energy's PSCo Air & Water Team seeks a lead environmental professional to oversee the stormwater program across projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and permit adherence. You will manage an external engineering consultant team, supervise inspectors, and coordinate data management systems, BMPs and restoration contracts.

This role also covers GECS, floodplain, MS4 wetlands, wildlife mitigation, and regulator engagement.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in environmental science, engineering, applied science, or related fields and eight years of progressively responsible environmental work.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills, with negotiation abilities.
• An Associate degree plus advanced education substitutions can replace the degree requirement.

Responsabilités

• Plans and conducts complex projects to ensure regulatory compliance and permit adherence.
• Negotiate license and permit applications; liaise with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Direct data collection, studies, and reporting to support environmental regulatory requirements.
• Develops regulatory training materials and delivers training to Xcel personnel.
• Monitors regulations and prepares company position comments on proposed rules.
• Prepares proposals and manages consultants and contractors.
• Supports strategic goals and regulatory compliance across business units.
• Evaluates incidents and audits and contributes to root-cause analyses.
