Job summary
The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking an experienced IT professional to support municipal infrastructure, compute, storage, network and enterprise applications. You will guide technical projects, diagnose issues, monitor performance and design standard builds in collaboration with IT staff.
Responsibilities include documenting changes to technical standards, providing expert support, and ensuring security and compliance with department policies.
Qualifications
- Satisfactory background check including criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.
- Satisfactory CJIS background check within 30 days of hire.
- Valid State of Alaska Driver's License and satisfactory driving record at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Supports Municipal IT infrastructure services, compute, storage, network and enterprise applications.
- Provides technical consultation and support to users and IT staff.
- Leads technical projects and resources to achieve high-complexity solutions.
- Diagnoses, isolates and debugs software problems and performs problem resolution.
- Monitors systems capacity and performance and provides complex technical support.
- Reviews and designs standard software/hardware builds and options.
- Develops documentation for integration and changes to technical standards.
