Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage is seeking an Executive SAP Program Manager within the Information Technology department. The role oversees governance, planning, and delivery of SAP projects and operations. It requires coordinating with the CIO to align SAP initiatives with the city’s strategic goals.

The position demands robust leadership, risk management, and vendor relationship skills to ensure SAP systems effectively support municipal functions. Monday–Friday, standard business hours at City Hall.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field with eight years IT experience.
• Associate's degree with ten years IT experience.
• Satisfactory background check including criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees governance, planning, execution, change management, risk management, and delivery of SAP projects and operations.
• Ensures SAP activities align with the Municipality's business goals and coordinates with the Chief Information Technology Officer.
• Manages SLAs and vendor relationships to ensure SAP systems support organizational needs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration or similar discipline and eight (8) years of information technology experience in a field appropriate to the position.

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Public Administration or similar discipline and ten (10) years of information technology experience in a field appropriate to the position.
