Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a Web Services Supervisor in the Information Technology department. This non-represented, non-union role reports to the IT Portfolio Manager and oversees the Web Applications team to support municipal business units with reliable software solutions.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED with 10 years of related experience (2 in supervision) or an associate/bachelor's degree with 6–8 years of related experience (2 in supervision).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 10 years of related professional experience, 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Associate’s degree plus 8 years of related professional level experience, 2 years supervisory.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of related professional level experience, 2 years supervisory.
• Background check including criminal, education and employment history at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Web Applications team to support municipal business units.
• Oversee reporting, resource allocation, and the implementation, maintenance, and support of application software for MOA business units.
• Advise IT Management on team status and needs to ensure cohesion and planning.
• Ensure systems are operational and meet evolving customer needs while conforming to contracts and MOA policies.
