Job summary

DomainTools is hiring a Solutions Engineer to partner with Enterprise and Strategic Account Executives in North America. You will own the technical win, run discovery, design solutions, deliver demos, and serve as a trusted technical peer through renewal and expansion.

The role requires 4+ years in a customer-facing technical capacity, fluency with security buyers, and hands-on experience with SIEM/SOAR/TIP integrations. Travel ~25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar).
• Fluency with security buyers and ability to converse with SOC directors and CISOs.
• Working knowledge of DNS, WHOIS/RDAP, passive DNS, SSL/TLS, HTTP basics.
• Hands-on with at least one SIEM, SOAR, or TIP platform and their integrations.
• Comfort with RESTful APIs, JSON, and scripting (Python preferred).
• Excellent demo and whiteboard skills for live storytelling.
• Willing to travel about 25% for meetings and QBRs.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, qualification, solution design, demos, and POVs for enterprise opportunities.
• Translate customer pain into DomainTools workflows spanning Iris Investigate, DNSDB/Farsight, and MCP Server.
• Design and defend integrations with SIEM, SOAR, TIP, and data platforms (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike, Google SecOps).
• Be the technical trusted advisor from first call through renewal and expansion.
• Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure production success and renewals.
• Deliver executive briefings and technical deep-dives as needed.
• Provide feedback to Product/Engineering and build reusable technical assets.
