Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Sr Technical Product Owner to lead enterprise-scale initiatives within IT Enterprise Platforms, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Cores and Applications. This remote role is based in California and offers a comprehensive Exempt compensation package.

You will guide strategy, align stakeholders, mentor other Product Owners, and drive product evolution with a strong emphasis on value delivery, architecture awareness, and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in a Management Information Systems, Information Management, Information Technology/Computer Sciences field or related work experience required
• 7+ years experience in product management, digital transformation, solution design, and business planning required
• 7+ years experience in operations, engineering, agile methodologies, or solution development required

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the strategic planning and execution of major product initiatives. Drive innovation and strategic initiatives to enhance product offerings.
• Advanced Thought Leadership: Provide advanced thought leadership, anticipate and address complex business challenges. Conduct high‑level vision/validate sessions with senior business stakeholders.
• Complex Business Needs: Translate complex business needs into technical requirements and strategic solutions. Partner with senior business stakeholders to recommend advanced technology solutions.
• Major Product Backlog Management: Oversee the prioritization and management of multiple major product backlogs. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategic vision.
• Mentorship and Development: Mentor and guide Technical Product Owner I and Technical Product Owner II. Foster professional growth and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Lead cross‑functional teams in driving user experience design and journey discussions. Track progress towards the release of major products.
• Performance Tracking and Improvement: Develop and utilize advanced personas to track performance and inform product design. Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance product development.
• Customer Advocacy and Solutions: Advocate for customer needs and identify innovative solutions. Establish success criteria and measurable results for customer satisfaction.
• Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti‑money laundering laws.
• Additional Responsibilities: Handle other duties as may be assigned, with a focus on strategic initiatives and leadership.
