Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in California is seeking a Sr Commercial Loan Officer who thrives on building relationships and delivering financing solutions to growth‑oriented businesses. This exempt role reports to the Director of Business Services and focuses on commercial real estate lending, portfolio growth, and risk‑aware production.

You will mentor loan officers, develop production strategies, and ensure exceptional member service while complying with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field required.
• Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years commercial banking and commercial loan origination experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage, grow and execute business development activities and maintain pipeline statistics surrounding these activities.
• Individually generate annual commercial real estate loan production as agreed by management.
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective production strategies that enhance Golden 1 Business Services market position to help the credit union achieve budgeted business services production goals.
• Mentor and lead business loan officers and support team in the loan processes and member service best practices.
• Ensure effective delivery of exceptional member service, loan quality, and loan retention by building relationships with California businesses that exceed the alternatives in the marketplace.
• Develop and execute strategies to attract new clients, including cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing relationships.
