Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Sr Commercial Loan Officer to lead business lending initiatives from a remote location in California. You will drive relationship-building with businesses, manage production goals, and mentor loan officers to deliver high-quality real estate and commercial loans.

You will balance risk management with growth strategies, ensure compliance with lending regulations, and collaborate with the Director - Business Services to achieve annual targets while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field required.
• MBA Preferred.
• 8+ years commercial banking and loan origination experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow business development activities and maintain pipeline metrics.
• Generate annual commercial real estate loan production as directed.
• Develop production strategies to achieve budgeted goals in Business Services.
• Mentor and lead loan officers and support staff in loan processes.
• Ensure exceptional member service, loan quality, and retention through relationships.
• Collaborate to attract new clients via cold calling and industry events.
• Support credit/underwriting and portfolio needs to close loans.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting lending (BSA, AML, TILA, HMDA, GLBA).
