Job summary

GDIT in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking an Enterprise Monitoring Engineer to deliver real-time visibility into infrastructure performance through monitoring, alerting, data collection, and analytics.

You will work with government teams, define monitoring requirements, and guide design and deployment of enterprise monitoring across Linux/Windows, SNMP, and log monitoring using tools like SolarWinds, Splunk, and AppDynamics.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II: one of Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+ or CCNA Security.
• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ related experience, or equivalent combination.
• Familiarity with EM tech (SolarWinds, Splunk) and ability to learn complex platforms.
• Experience with API integrations and authorization processes.
• Ability to support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and accreditation.
• Strong Windows Server administration knowledge.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time system monitoring, alerting, and data collection for infrastructure services.
• Ensure technical integrity of work and project deliverables.
• Lead design and development activities for enterprise Monitoring across Linux/Windows, SNMP, and logs.
• Report data to enterprise monitor-of-monitors and analytics platforms.
• Interact with government personnel on engineering considerations and issues.
• Participate in weekly service delivery, requirements development, and customer collaboration.
• Review requirements and tool usage for monitoring protocols.
• Assist with other Enterprise Monitoring efforts.
