Job summary

Appian in Madrid, Spain, is seeking a Senior Commercial Operations Specialist to act as internal consultant and commercial architect for our sales organization. You will own deal structuring, risk assessment, and pricing strategies to accelerate growth and improve contract accuracy.

Reporting to the Commercial Operations team, you will work with Finance, Accounting, and Legal to streamline approvals and reduce cycle times, enabling the field to win strategic accounts while upholding revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or closely related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in deal desk operations, contract management, or commercial sales operations within enterprise software.
• Proven deal structuring, custom contract creation, and pricing model experience.

Responsibilities

• Structure and process complex enterprise deals, ensuring alignment with pricing, margins, and revenue recognition policies.
• Draft, modify, and finalize complex contract terms for net-new software logos and add-on expansions.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Legal to review, interpret, and confirm terms.
• Resolve commercial queries and pricing roadblocks using enterprise quoting tools.
• Audit deal compliance against governance frameworks and regulations; ensure contract accuracy.
• Support field sales through bid management, quoting optimization, and custom deal workflows.
