Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions in Research Triangle Park, NC, seeks a hands-on Senior Enterprise Architect to lead end-to-end solution delivery for major retail platforms. You will unify architecture leadership, platform building, and client delivery, guiding both discovery prototyping and production implementations while ensuring security, scalability, and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience with hands-on coding.
• 5+ years designing cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven architectures (Azure or equivalent).
• Experience owning end-to-end solution delivery with design, implementation, and post-release accountability.
• Experience with partner integrations (payments, SaaS APIs, loyalty, inventory, or authentication).
• Prototyping and reference implementations to validate architecture and feasibility.
• API-first design (REST/OpenAPI).
• Containerization, CI/CD, and Kubernetes-based delivery pipelines.
• Practical experience with generative AI and AI-assisted development tools.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end solution architecture across discovery, design, delivery, and operation for platform and client solutions.
• Design and build platform infrastructure to support emerging requirements and use cases.
• Produce architectural artifacts: ADRs, interface contracts, data flow diagrams, infrastructure specs.
• Define architecture standards, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.
• Write production code for critical platform features and infrastructure components.
• Drive Discovery Track activities and translate outcomes into delivery backlogs.
• Establish partner integration architectures and security/authentication strategies.
• Mentor engineers and ensure architecture governance across teams.
