Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. in Newport News, VA is seeking an Engineering Technician 4 to support Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural disciplines in the design, construction, and maintenance of naval ships.

You will translate engineering requirements into technical documentation and provide production support across multiple teams. The role requires on-site work, safety PPE adherence, and collaboration with engineering, planning, and quality teams to ensure compliant, high-quality

Qualifications

Associate's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience required.
Equivalent to Associate's Degree: High School/GED with 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience acceptable.
Equivalent to Associate's Degree: High School/GED with 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

Translate engineering requirements into executable technical documentation and production support.
Interface daily with engineering, planning, quality, and deckplate operations to ensure safety and quality in ship construction and overhaul.
Produce engineering documents, reports, drawings, and analyses.
Assist engineers with design, construction, and maintenance tasks across Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural disciplines.
