Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding seeks Engineer Technicians to support Electrical, Mechanical and Structural disciplines and assist in design, construction and maintenance of nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines.

You will translate engineering requirements into technical documentation and production support, interfacing daily with engineering, planning, quality, and deckplate operations to ensure safe, compliant ship construction and overhaul.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
Equivalent education paths accepted (NNPS, Apprentice School, or related military/manufacturing experience).
Experience in naval or marine ship design and related disciplines is preferred.

Responsibilities

Translate engineering requirements into executable technical documentation and production support solutions.
Interface daily with engineering, planning, quality and deckplate operations to ensure safe, compliant ship construction and overhaul.
Perform analyses and contribute to engineering reports and documentation.
