Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. seeks a Principal Engineering Project Manager to lead engineering projects for data center clients across the United States. You will manage schedules, risk, and financial health while guiding engineers, designers, and subcontractors to successful outcomes.

In this role you will craft detailed proposals, maintain client relationships, and travel as needed to client facilities. A PMP or equivalent experience is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or PMP with 10 years in engineering consulting, PM, or data center.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a PM or engineer with an engineering consulting firm doing data center projects.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Ideal candidate has worked with a hyperscale data center as a consultant.
• Ability to report on and manage scope, schedule, and cost for multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Client & Team Relations: Demonstrate professionalism and dedication, providing exceptional service to both clients and teammates, while fostering positive relationships.
• Project Leadership: Lead projects by collaborating with technical colleagues to develop detailed engineering proposals, managing schedules, and executing recovery plans when needed.
• Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive work plans, risk management strategies, communication plans, and work breakdown structures to ensure smooth project execution.
• Scheduling & Financial Management: Oversee project schedules, apply advanced scheduling tools, and manage the financial health of projects, ensuring timely reporting and performance tracking.
• Team & Resource Management: Manage engineers, designers, and subcontractors, ensuring quality deliverables while supporting internal standards and resource management.
• Contract & Project Oversight: Plan, implement, and supervise client contracts, ensuring successful project execution, while traveling to client facilities as needed.
