Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Manager Software Engineering Development to lead a six-to-seven person team focused on Brand Expedia Home across web and native apps. You’ll set the technical direction, partner with Product, Design, and Platform teams, and shape a scalable traveler journey driven by data and customer insights.

You’ll guide architecture, API design, and end-to-end delivery while promoting high engineering standards, reliability, and ethical AI usage.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience and 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading and developing a software engineering team, with trust, accountability, collaboration, and belonging.
• Strong fundamentals and technical judgment across system design, architecture, API design, data modeling, testing, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and grow a diverse team of software engineers through clear expectations and regular feedback.
• Own the team’s engineering direction and delivery roadmap for Brand Expedia Home across web and native apps.
• Build strong relationships with product, design, and platform teams to align priorities and traveler journeys.
• Translate business problems into pragmatic technical approaches and executable plans.
• Guide system, data, and API design decisions balancing value, scalability, and security.
• Champion a traveler-centric product culture by incorporating customer insights and data into roadmaps.
