Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Manager Software Engineering Development to lead a team of engineers for Brand Expedia Home. You will own the technical strategy, guide system design, and partner with Product and Platform teams to deliver scalable traveler experiences.

You will mentor engineers, drive end‑to‑end ownership of services, and champion high engineering standards across frontend, backend, and cloud components.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience and 3+ years of people management.
• Experience leading and developing a software engineering team, with trust, accountability, collaboration, and belonging.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and technical judgment across system design, architecture, API design, data modeling, testing, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a diverse team of software engineers through clear expectations, feedback, coaching, career development, and inclusive practices.
• Own the team’s engineering direction and delivery roadmap for Brand Expedia Home across web and native app experiences.
• Build strong working relationships with cross-functional partners to align priorities and traveler journeys.
• Translate problems into pragmatic technical approaches and executable plans that deliver tangible results.
• Guide system and API design, data modeling, and architecture decisions balancing value, scalability, and reliability.
• Promote a traveller-centric product culture by incorporating customer insights, data, and feedback into planning.
