Job summary

Dynamet Incorporated, part of Carpenter Technology, seeks an experienced engineer to lead manufacturing engineering efforts at its Washington, PA facility. The role guides project execution, process improvements, and regulatory compliance across sites, aligning with corporate objectives.

Ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing engineering experience, strong leadership, and the ability to drive efficiency, safety, and quality in a large industrial setting. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree required.
• Ten or more years’ experience as an engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Preference for five or more years managerial experience in a related technical discipline or manufacturing.
• Apply business and management expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives within or across areas or departments.
• Has multi-disciplinary knowledge across the areas or departments.
• Develop departmental plans including business, production, and/or organizational
• Manages resources to ensure financial and operational objectives are met.
• Expert knowledge of engineering principles, standards, methods, and practices.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities.
• Facility expansion and capacity additions New process/technology/equipment procurement and implementation
• Support of ongoing operations Health, safety, and environmental regulatory compliance.
• Ensures all projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established project management methodology, policies and objectives.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
