Job summary

Carpenter Technology is seeking an experienced electrical maintenance technician to join its manufacturing teams in Washington state. You will inspect, test, adjust and maintain electrical equipment, read blueprints, and support preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Requires 4+ years in an industrial setting, an Associate degree preferred. You will work with PLCs, drive systems, and hydraulic/pneumatic components, ensuring safe operation and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from accredited school in electrical maintenance.
• At least 4 years experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Associate degree in Electrical Technology preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and process diagrams.

Dynamet is a member of Carpenter’s Performance Engineered Products division and maintains a second manufacturing facility in western Florida.PRIMARY DUTIES:Inspect, test, adjust and maintain electrical devices, apparatus and circuits.Troubleshoots job at the machine by observing machine operation and interacting with operations leadership and employees.Experience with basic fabrications.Plans repair procedure by analyzing site conditions, blueprints, sketches, and other available information.Ability to use mobile equipment as needed (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.).Ability to perform electrical work along with minor mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and crane/rigging needs.Provides direct support in multiple areas of the facility.Support production needs and be proactive in preventive maintenance.Inspecting, testing, calibrating, installing, fabricating, constructing, adjusting, lubricating, maintaining, dismantling and cleaning all mechanical equipment.Performs preventative maintenance on equipment by inspecting defects such as misalignments, wear, improper lubrication, etc.Ability to use maintenance systems for researching and ordering parts.Provide technical assistance to engineering in the design, repair, or improvement of equipment.Locate sources of problems by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical devices in operation.Control downtime by performing routine preventative maintenance requirements, daily inspections and monitoring of machines.Safely performs assigned tasks competently and efficiently.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.Provide technical assistance to engineering in the design, repair, or improvement of equipment.Must be able to meet safety requirements including ANSI fall protection expectations.Responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and process flow diagrams as needed to perform tasks.This position involves shift rotationsPerforms other duties as needed.REQUIREMENTS:Must have graduated from accredited school in electrical maintenance.At least 4 years experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (including relevant military training) or equivalent education in a related field.An Associate degree in Electrical Technology and/or graduation from an acceptable Technical Training Institution in an electrical or electronic systems program is preferred.Minimum of one - three years industrial electrical maintenance experience in the past ten years, preferredThe ability to read blueprints, operate vehicles, work from heights, and work in various environmental conditions is required.A working knowledge of programmable controllers, personal computers, AC and DC drive systems, control and measuring devices (i.e. limit switches, proximity switches, etc.) hydraulic systems and test equipment is preferred.Carpenter Technology Company offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including life, medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, 401k with company contributions as well as many other options to employees.
