Job summary

Dynamet, a Carpenter Technology Company, is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement in a safe, collaborative environment. The role emphasizes supporting production of high-quality titanium and nickel-based alloys for aerospace, medical, defense, and industrial applications.

The successful candidate will review product requirements, lead analysis of key process measures, and implement plans to meet quality, cost, and schedule

Qualifications

• Possesses a practical understanding of engineering principles, standards, methods and practices.
• Proficient in MS Office products.
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions to manage the flow of work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills on a highly technical level.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, develops and modifies process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements, modifications or additions which will document work; tests and solves problems.
• Reviews product requirements with product development compatibility of processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
• Lead the analysis of key process measures and determine major issues and their root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Lead the implementation of plans, actions, and measurements to achieve goals and objectives.
• Lead the development and implementation of strategies for health, safety and environmental matters, and understand the impact of regulatory compliance issues.
• Provide expertise, input and guidance as well as sound problem solving to cross functional teams.
• May review proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment.
• Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
