Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an Engineering Manager/Technical Leader to guide a skilled software team in a remote-friendly environment.

You will code and review, shape technical specifications, and collaborate with product teams to manage risks and milestones. The role requires extensive experience in agile, cross-functional settings, with hands-on work on cloud platforms, microservices, RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot, Postgres, and AWS.

Qualifications

• Writing code and performing code reviews.
• Writing and reviewing technical specifications.
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks with cross-functional product teams.
• Guiding planning, estimation, prioritization, trade-offs, and balancing technical debt and milestones.
• Reviewing architecture and designs from other project teams.
• Strategizing with leadership on project growth.
• Attending conferences and networking with potential clients.
• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience designing production-grade cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs (Java, Spring Boot).
• Experience with Postgres via JDBC and ORM like Hibernate.
• DevOps experience, preferably with Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience utilizing AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• US work authorization (no visa sponsorship now or in the future).
• May be subject to a government background check or security clearance.
