Job summary

Imprint in New York seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to own real-time authorization and fraud decisioning. You will lead the underwriting pipeline, evaluate vendor capabilities, and balance build-versus-buy decisions with latency and cost data.

A strong focus on cross-functional prioritization and technical leadership drives product reliability. You will mentor a senior team, maintain high engineering standards, and apply AI tools to investigate codebases, assess feasibility, and clarify asks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of building and retaining teams.
• Experience leading through growth, ambiguity, or significant technical change.
• Strong technical foundation with hands-on engagement or AI tools to stay credible.

Responsibilities

• Own real-time authorization and fraud decisioning; define design, tests and operations for low-latency systems.
• Own the underwriting pipeline, enabling scalable policy updates and data sources.
• Make vendor decisions and balance build-vs-buy with latency and cost data.
• Prioritize cross-functional platform problems and define roadmaps with clarity.
• Lead with technical credibility and leverage AI tools to assess feasibility and complexity.
• Develop and mentor a strong engineering team, setting high standards and clear expectations.
