Docplanner is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to own the Payments domain and elevate a high-performing, AI-native team. You will lead 7–9 engineers, collaborate closely with Product and Design, and stay hands-on in the code while driving rapid experimentation and delivering meaningful patient outcomes.

The role emphasizes fast, data-driven decisions, scalable architecture, and mentoring engineers to grow into senior tech leads. Remote/hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years leading engineering teams in product companies, including hiring, growth and performance management.
• Hands-on experience using AI to speed up how code is written, reviewed and refactored, with good judgment on when not to rely on it.
• Founder's mindset: quick experiments, validation with real users, and pivoting when data dictates.
• Fluent English and strong communication.
• Experience in payments or fintech (PSPs, reconciliation or compliance).
• Experience working at scale and delivering meaningful user outcomes.

Responsabilités

• Own performance management for your team: set clear expectations, give feedback, run reviews and calibrations, and address underperformance early.
• Lead a team of 7–9 engineers focused on Payments, coordinating with the Product Manager and Design.
• Stay hands-on in the codebase, implementing features and architectural changes.
• Maintain AI-native practices, ensure high quality, and minimize operational burden while accelerating delivery.
• Track and report impact with metrics like delivery speed, quality, team engagement and product outcomes.
