Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager in Buffalo, NY to lead the product design engineering team from customer requirements through design validation and production release. The candidate will guide technical decisions, review complex designs, mentor engineers, and ensure project delivery and product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Progressive product design engineering experience with leadership responsibility.
Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, tolerances, and verification methods.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities, allocate resources, and manage projects.
Direct product architecture, mechanical design, materials, tolerances, and verification.
Lead design reviews; challenge assumptions and resolve technical risks before release.
Translate customer requirements into specifications and validation plans.
Oversee drawings, BOMs, calculations, changes, and controlled releases.
Collaborate with sales and customers on feasibility, requirements, and proposals.
Work with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and address field issues.
Mentor engineers to raise technical standards and project management practices.
