Job summary

Responsibilities include architecture direction, tolerances, and verification, leading reviews, and translating requirements into specs and validation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Progressive product design engineering experience with complex decisions.
• Leadership experience managing people and multiple projects.
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, materials, and verification.
• Ability to guide engineers through difficult design problems and review designs.
• Clear communication with customers, commercial teams, manufacturing and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities and allocate resources.
• Provide hands-on technical direction for product architecture and design verification.
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate requirements into specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, BOMs, design changes, and controlled release.
• Collaborate with sales and customers on technical feasibility and proposals.
• Partner with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and new product introduction.
• Build engineering capability through coaching and standard practices.
