Job summary

Connectly Recruiting represents a client manufacturing temperature sensors and precision components seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager in Buffalo, NY. You will lead a design engineering team, drive technical decisions, oversee requirements-to-release processes, and mentor engineers to deliver robust products on schedule while maintaining quality and manufacturability.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Progressive product design engineering experience with leadership.
Experience managing multiple development projects.
Strong command of mechanical design, GD&T, materials, and verification.
Clear communication with customers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities, allocate resources.
Provide hands-on direction for product architecture, design, and verification.
Lead design reviews and mitigate technical risks before release.
Translate requirements into clear specifications and validation plans.
Oversee drawings, BOMs, design changes, and release.
Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and quality on feasibility and improvements.
Support new product introduction and manufacturability enhancements.
Build engineering capability through coaching and standards.
