Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for a client in Buffalo, NY. You will lead product design engineering, guide technical decisions, and develop engineers from concept through production release.

Ideal candidates have extensive design experience, strong CAD/GD&T skills, and a track record of delivering high-quality engineered solutions while coordinating with sales, manufacturing, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Progressive product design engineering experience with responsibility for complex technical decisions and design delivery.
• Engineering leadership experience managing people, priorities, and multiple projects.
• Strong command of mechanical design, CAD, GD&T, tolerance analysis, materials, and verification methods.
• Ability to stay technically engaged in detailed reviews and guide engineers through tough problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team, set priorities, allocate resources, and manage project commitments.
• Provide hands-on direction for product architecture, mechanical design, materials selection, tolerances, and verification.
• Lead design reviews and resolve technical risks before release.
• Translate requirements into clear engineering specifications and validation plans.
• Oversee drawings, BOMs, calculations, changes, and controlled release.
• Collaborate with sales and customers on technical feasibility and proposals.
• Work with manufacturing and quality to improve manufacturability and support new product introductions.
• Build engineering capability through coaching, standards, and disciplined project management.
