Invitation Homes seeks a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead a software organization spanning multiple teams. You’ll turn business strategy into a practical technical roadmap, align product design, delivery, and engineering, and drive execution across systems and APIs.

You’ll blend deep technical knowledge with coaching and communication to build a high‑performing, innovative engineering culture, fostering collaboration and accountability in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional development experience and 3+ years leading an engineering team.
• Experience in an agile development environment.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles and concepts.
• Strong technical skills in JavaScript, databases, AWS, CI/CD, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Define and translate business strategy into a technical roadmap for multiple teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Delivery to plan and prioritize projects.
• Guide architecture discussions around systems, APIs, and third‑party interfaces.
• Foster a collaborative culture and coach team performance.
• Grow engineers through mentoring, feedback, and career development.
• Measure and improve engineering performance and outcomes.
• Provide guidance to ensure on‑time delivery of technical initiatives.
• Stay current with tech trends and promote innovation across teams.
