CVS Health Digital is seeking a Senior Manager – Software Development Engineering to lead and mentor a team of software engineers, shaping architecture and delivering strategic initiatives in the cloud. You will drive development lifecycle excellence, collaborate with product and business partners, and steer technology strategy and execution to improve reliability and speed to market.

Qualifications

7+ years of software engineering experience with 5+ years leading projects or managing directs.
7+ years using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka to build/deploy and maintain cloud-based applications.
3+ years leading cross-functional teams without direct authority in a matrixed organization.
3+ years defining technology strategy and adopting AI/ML, cloud services, automation, and developer productivity tools.
Strong expertise in cloud platforms, distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

Own risk mitigation and production stability, identifying vulnerabilities and driving resolution.
Oversee the full SDLC, ensuring secure coding and scalable architecture.
Collaborate with Product, Data, Infrastructure and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and lead innovation through prototypes and tech selection.
Build high-performing teams by hiring and conducting technical performance evaluations.
