Job summary

Mercury, a fintech company, is building the custody foundation that keeps customer assets accurately accounted. We’re seeking a senior engineering manager to lead the Custody team through its next stages of growth and scale to serve our customers.

You will lead, hire, and develop a team of senior engineers; own the technical strategy; guide ledger, security master service, reconciliation, and related systems; partner with product, operations and compliance to deliver auditable, scalable

Qualifications

3+ years of experience managing highly technical teams.
Direct experience building or operating custody systems at scale (RIA/broker-dealer).
Understanding broker-dealer operating model and data flows across introducing brokers, clearing firms, custodians.

Responsibilities

Lead, hire, and develop a team of senior engineers.
Own the team’s technical strategy and roadmap.
Guide design and evolution of core custody systems (ledgers, security master service, reconciliation).
Partner with product, investment operations, and compliance to translate requirements into auditable workflows.
Collaborate with Product and Partnerships to align integrations and roadmaps.
Set a high bar for correctness, reliability, and incident response.
