Job summary

Iterable, the leading AI-powered customer engagement platform, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead frontend, backend, and applied engineering groups building agentic experiences and AI-enabled capabilities across the core Iterable application.

You will partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to define the technical roadmap, drive architecture for agent workflows, and scale the engineering organization to deliver reliable, secure, production-ready features for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing, scaling, and leading software engineering teams.
• Experience leading teams that integrate AI or ML-powered capabilities into production systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in system design, APIs, distributed systems, and developer workflows.
• Experience overseeing engineering work across modern backend and frontend stacks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale engineering teams across frontend, backend, and applied engineering.
• Define the technical roadmap in partnership with Product, Design, and Data Science leadership.
• Drive the architecture of agent workflows, orchestration logic, and application integrations.
• Establish standards to ensure AI-powered features are reliable, observable, secure, and enterprise-ready.
• Coach, mentor, and sponsor senior engineers and team leads, fostering an inclusive culture.
• Collaborate with principal engineers and platform teams to align interfaces and dependencies.
• Drive hiring, headcount planning, and onboarding strategies for the AI engineering org.
