Twilio is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Communication Identity Domain. You will lead Porting, Hosting, and A2P Messaging, owning people strategy, delivery, and stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in engineering management, leading teams
• Strong hands-on background in cloud-native distributed systems and architecture reviews
• Experience driving AI tool adoption within engineering teams
• Proven track record of shipping complex software on time and with high quality
• Leadership to grow diverse, inclusive engineering teams
• Clear communication of strategy, trade-offs, and plans to leadership and partners
• Stakeholder management across external product commitments and internal dependencies
• Operational rigor in reliability, incident response, and on-call health
• Experience leading internal platforms or tooling serving other engineering teams
• Team scaling through periods of change and onboarding new engineers

Responsibilities

• Own delivery roadmap for the Communication Identity Domain across customer-facing services and internal tooling
• Drive AI-assisted delivery and tooling adoption to accelerate velocity
• Ensure operational excellence, reliability, and security posture of platforms
• Partner with Product Management to align customer workflows with external commitments
• Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing engineers; foster psychological safety
• Communicate strategy and progress clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional teams
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and surface trade-offs transparently
• Balance external product work with internal platform obligations and tooling investments
• Lead teams to move and activate phone numbers for customers with precision and care
