Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (L3) to contribute to the Compliance Experiences platform, handling KYC and phone-number related services at scale. You will ship end-to-end features, design robust APIs, and work across teams to ensure reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and developing scalable cloud-native systems.
• Proficiency in Java or Go and AWS services (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka).
• Hands-on cloud-native architecture with microservices patterns.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate software delivery and debugging.
• Experience building high-volume APIs with good developer experience.
• Familiar with SQL/NoSQL data stores and distributed messaging.
• Infrastructure as Code with Kubernetes and Terraform; modern CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical design and roadmaps for core platform components.
• Leverage AI tools to automate boilerplate, tests, and prototyping.
• Own end-to-end component delivery with reliability and security in mind.
• Translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into APIs and workflows.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead code reviews and tech talks.
• Identify risks, performance bottlenecks, and drive on-call incident resolution.
• Document designs, trade-offs, and runbooks clearly for the team.
